Roles and Contributors
Many people have contributed to the Pack Forest Landscape Plan by filling specific roles in the planning process.
Decision Analysis
Project Managers:
September, 1998 - June, 2000. Justin Hall, Graduate Student in Silviculture (UWCFR) and former Staff Forester, Pack Forest. June 2000 - August, 2001. Chad Oliver, Professor of Silviculture and Forest Ecology (UWCFR). August, 2001 - project completion. Mason McKinley, Staff Forester, Pack Forest and Graduate Student in Silviculture, (UWCFR).
The project managers are responsible for ensuring the decision analysis and decision-making processes proceed correctly and efficiently. These people do not take a position regarding which landscape alternative is chosen by the decision makers.
Project Analysts:

The project analysts manage the analytical work involved in the decision analysis process under the direction of the Decision Analysis Project Manager. These people do not take a position regarding which landscape alternative is chosen by the decisionmakers.
Decisionmaker:
Bruce Bare, Acting Dean (UWCFR), upon the advice of the College Lands Committee, chaired by Stanley Humann, College Lands Manager, Pack Forest (UWCFR).
The decisionmaker is legally responsible for deciding on the management plan for Pack Forest. The decision is made by selecting a final landscape alternative developed through the Decision Analysis process, or by choosing another means of developing the plan.
Stakeholder(s):

Have a strong interest in the Pack Forest Management Plan, but have no legal authority to decide the plan. In future Management Cycles, as the management procedure becomes more efficient, the "Stakeholder" group could be expanded to include stakeholders such as local (Eatonville) spokespeople, commodity and non-commodity interests, and other University people outside the UWCFR.

The Pack Forest managers and staff constitute the implementors who will that take the plan from the planning stage and make it operational.
