Pack Forest Geographic Information System (GIS) Data

General Overview

The Pack Forest Geographic Information System (GIS) has been developed in order to provide high-quality maps, geographically referenced data, and spatial analysis for the integrated management of the Experimental and Demonstration Forest. Because the forest itself is in a state of continual change, the GIS will be under continual development. As stands age, as treatments are applied, and as units are harvested and replanted, as new spatial data are acquired and added, these changes will be reflected in the GIS data. Every attempt will be made to provide the most accurate and up-to-date data. However, because many of the data are added to the GIS before they can be field-verified, please note that the data comes with the following disclaimer:

By using the Pack Forest GIS Data, you agree to the following:

  1. Many of the data are not field verified, thus there are no guarantees regarding accuracy.

  2. No guarantees are made regarding suitability of these data for any particular use.

  3. Niether the University of Washington nor any of its staff, students, or faculty will be held responsible for any liability resulting from the use of these data.
